Onboard Eastern & Oriental Express

After breakfast in your hotel this morning, enjoy more of Bangkok’s sights before being transferred to Hualamphong Station to begin your journey on the Eastern & Oriental Express. After being welcomed aboard the gold and green-liveried carriages, settle into your compartment. Dinner is served as the train leaves the city behind and travels into the Thai countryside of rice fields and villages. Guided Cruise Along River Kwai

Early risers will catch the excitement of the train making its way along the trestle viaduct from Wang Po. Later, the train arrives at River Kwai Bridge Station, where you will disembark for a river cruise on board a local raft. During the cruise, a local historian provides a brief overview of the history of the Thailand-Burma railway and the bridge. Disembark for a visit to the Thailand Burma Railway Centre and, for those who wish, the Don Rak War Cemetery. Tour Of Ubudiah Mosque Kuala Kangsar

Enjoy breakfast in your cabin as the train enters Malaysia and journeys through the picturesque landscape. Lunch is served before arriving in Kuala Kangsar for your guided tour of this fascinating royal town. You’ll visit the Ubudiah Mosque, the Royal Museum of Perak, and the Sultan Shah Gallery.
