All transfers are included except for transfers between the airport and the hotel.

Many prefer to use either Uber or Lyft for airport transfers. Taxis are also available. Last year I used the train in Vancouver - not my smartest move. It was a longer walk to the train stop from the hotel than it looked and I had my luggage.

Alcohol is included on the Rocky Mountaineer train.

All other alcohol is an additional cost.

We get a pretty early start, generally on board and moving by 8 am. We are supposed to arrive into Kamloops from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. and into Vancouver from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Delays do happen as we share the tracks with freight and other trains. Be prepared for long days on the train. Keep in mind you are able to get up and move around and even go outside on the viewing area.

Gratuities are already included for the meals that are included in the package (9) and the Rocky Mountaineer train Host/Hostesses.

You will need to bring some cash to tip tour guides (3 full day tours) and if you'd like the bus drivers who take us from the hotel to the train and back (4 transfers). Hotel room staff also appreciate gratuities.

Our luggage is handled by the hotel and Rocky Mountaineer staff. We will be told during travel what time to set our luggage out and it will show up in our hotel at the next location. You will want to pack a small carry on to keep with you. Unlike airplanes, the train has plenty of legroom for you to keep a small bag with you.

I can only book flights if you add a pre or post stay of 3 days or more. Otherwise, I can help you find flights and then you book your flights directly with the airlines. E-mail me if you want to discuss this further.

If not adding and pre or post stays elsewhere (post-stay in Seattle or Vancouver for example), you will fly into of Calgary International Airport (YYC)International Airport (YVR) and out of Vancouver

We will be assigned our accommodations for Kamloops between a few days and a couple of weeks prior to travel. Options are limited and the quality is considered "moderate standard"
