Celtic Adventure – The Best Of Scotland And Ireland

On this Celtic Adventure, you’ll see the best of the three Celtic countries.

To being this Celtic adventures, start in Scotland, then check out the Highlands and its most incredible cities before traveling to both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, two countries of incredible culture and tradition.

Day 1 – Edinburgh

We’ll start our epic Celtic adventure in Edinburgh at the 4-Star Kimpton Charlotte Square hotel, where you’ll join everyone else in your group and the Tour Manager. Tonight, we’re having a Scottish dinner.

West Highland Line

Days 2 & 3 – Inverness & the Kyle Line

Today, we’re taking the train from Edinburgh to Inverness. On arrival, we visit Glen Ord Distillery for a whiskey tasting and a tour.

We travel to Kyle of Lochalsh on the Kyle Line and visit Eilean Donan Castle on the third day. After enjoying the castle, we return to our hotel via scenic Loch Ness.

Days 4 & 5 – The West Highland Line to Glasgow

We’ll take the coach to Mallaig after breakfast, stopping off at the visitor center on the way. There is some time to kill before we board the Jacobite Steam Train and travel to Fort William.

On Day 5, we’ll be back on the West Highland Line, traveling from Fort William to Glasgow.

Days 6 & 7 – Belfast and Cork

We go to Cairnryan to catch the ferry to Belfast, where we immediately take a guided tour of the city. We check into our hotel after the tour.

On Day 7 of our tour, we’re going to the Giant’s Causeway, stopping off at Carrickfergus Castle for some free time on the way. We also enjoy lunch in Ballycastle. We have time at the Giant’s Causeway to explore before returning to the hotel.

Overnight Belfast.

Days 8 & 9 – The castles of Ireland

Today we visit Hillsborough Castle, where the Queen lives while visiting Northern Ireland, and which is the official residence of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. After enjoying the castle, we take the coach to Dublin Heuston train station for the train to Cork.

Overnight Cork.

On Day 9, we visit Ireland’s most famous castle, Blarney Castle. This evening, we will watch the Celtic Steps show.

Days 10 & 11 – Ireland’s natural beauty

We take a coach trip around the stunning Ring of Kerry today. We have plenty of time for lunch and will also visit Kerry Bog Village Museum and ride the jaunting cars.

On Day 11, we transfer to Tarbet, then cross to Killimer by ferry. Here, we visit the Cliffs of Moher. Then we travel to the Burren Center to learn more about the local history.

Overnight Galway.

Days 12 & 13 – Dublin and home

After a leisurely morning, we travel by train to Dublin, where we spend time discovering the city. Tonight we’re going to eat at the Merry Ploughboy Pub.

On Day 13 you can leave after breakfast for the airport.
